About Us

Situated along the banks of the Ottawa River stretching all the way from Deep River in the north-west, to Arnprior in the south-east and Barry's Bay along the north-east edge of Algonquin Park, the County of Renfrew is the largest county in the Province of Ontario. We are a rural area steeped in a rich history of farming, forestry, outdoor adventure, and are home to both a Canadian military base and nuclear science and technology facility.

The County of Renfrew and the surrounding areas have been the territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe people for thousands of years, and is home to the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation.

Here at the Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB) we educate over 10,000 students in 28 schools and are the third largest employer in the county. We celebrate the unique contributions of each individual, and cultivate an environment that values imagination and innovation.

In a rapidly-changing world, the RCDSB continues to adapt, evolve and innovate in order to best serve the needs of our students and inspire them to engage in an exciting future. We guide and support students as they consider the ever-changing opportunities of the 21st Century and discover their own pathways to success.
