Parent Involvement Committee
The Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB) is very proud of its active Parent Involvement Committee (PIC). In accordance with the Ministry of Education, the PIC:

Empowers and supports parent involvement and engagement in our schools;

Represents a parent voice in the Ministry of Education and RCDSB consultations;

Seeks parent input on the Ministry of Education and RCDSB consultations;

Increases, facilitates and supports communication between parents and the RCDSB;

Provides opportunities for parents to develop useful skills to support their child;

Provides and supports professional development opportunities for school councils; and
-
Acts as a resource for parents and school councils on parent engagement and involvement.
Mission
The Parent Involvement Committee strives to bridge communication links between parents, the RCDSB and the Ministry of Education, as well as offers leadership, support and professional development for parents and school councils, with the goal of increasing parent engagement in our schools leading to increased student success.

Empowering parents to become engaged and valued partners in their children's education.
Committee Representatives
The PIC is composed primarily of parents with students in the RCDSB, the Director of Education and principal who act as liaisons between the committee and the RCDSB. Any parent with a child in the RCDSB may join our meetings and become a committee member.
