Girls playing basketball in gym

Fellowes High School battles Mackenzie Community School in senior girls basketball last year.

The Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB) aims to provide students with opportunities for a variety of sports and athletic activities as well as year round physical education classes. Sports play an important role in developing students' physical fitness and team building skills in a fun, safe environment.

Principals at each elementary and secondary school organize intramural and interschool athletic programs and competitions, assisted by the Renfrew County Elementary Interschool Athletic Association or the Upper Valley Ottawa High School Athletic Association. Secondary school principals also develop co-instructional activities as part of their school plan.

Fellowes High School and Mackenzie Community School, in partnership with Hockey Canada, run a Hockey Skills Academy during the school year. Visit hockey skills for more information on this unique program.
