WELL-BEING AND BELONGING:

All learners belong, are valued and have agency.

ACTIONS:
- Embed identity-affirming and anti-oppressive practices including a focus on teaching and assessment
- Implement compassionate and proactive strategies to create safe and respectful learning and work environments
- Incorporate consistent, evidence-based tools and strategies to strengthen well- being, including mental health literacy and positive attendance
- Maximize empowerment and agency through participatory processes and continuous feedback loops
- Provide an array of mentoring and leadership opportunities to nurture ongoing growth and development for all
FOUNDATIONAL AND FUTURE-READY SKILLS:

All learners are prepared with core and future-ready skills.

ACTIONS:
- Build core foundational literacy and math skills through explicit and inquiry-based instruction, and the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
- Foster digital citizenship, including comprehensive artificial intelligence literacy
- Integrate financial literacy, executive functioning and social-emotional learning skills across subjects
- Nurture active environmental learning through nature- and place-based opportunities and experiences
- Offer a variety of programs and pathways that support a diversity of learners
