Transportation Subsidy

RCDSB and RCCDSB recognize that, in spite of the collaborative work between RCJTC and bus operators, some families may be impacted by driver shortages throughout the school year.

A transportation subsidy, will be offered to parents/caregivers when the bus service is unavailable for a period of at least ten consecutive days or a total of 15 sporadic days. The subsidy will be paid using the RCJTC transportation software distances in the table below.

The application process:
  1. Complete the application via School Cash Online linked here.
    Please ensure you check out completely, if you do not receive a receipt, we will not receive your response. 
    NOTE: If you have already completed an application for the 2025-2026 school year via Google Forms, you do not need to resubmit a form via School Cash. 
  2. The board will verify the information included in the application. 
  3. Payments will be made by the board via cheque at the end of the month following the service interruption. These cheques will be made out to the applicant listed and mailed to the address provided in the application.
